Song meaning:This song is about religion, and fundamentalism, and doctrine and how it destroys rational free thinking. The citadel and its folly are a thinly veiled reference to the Catholic Church and its evil, ritualistic ways. The references to the book are almost arbitrary but its worth a read if you ve never read it, and makes the line about being crushed by time make more sense.
lyrics
Verse 1
(Swallow,)
The Sun's Rage whole I,
(Breathe it in)
Set to work in building it,
(Crushed)
By waves of time and
(Laid Flat)
By ignorance
Verse 2
(Roam)
The waste in vain I,
(Yearn)
For years gone too quick,
(I, rage)
At the citadel, its folly
(On tracks)
The lie rolls on
End
Bleeding out,
Holy Grail,
Abominate,
All this waste
Cleanse this house,
Of Righteous Fools,
Who bay and pray,
Like crouching dogs
A time to call, the herd to heel,
And dream of days of endeavour

Are Geezer the heaviest heavy blues band out there? Probably, but if you’re unsure, just listen to these four songs and decide for yourself. And while your eyelids get heavy from all that smoke, Borracho have the cowbell to lead you home. This is a stoner rock goldmine, folks, so bet in the van whilst you can. We got nine more of these trips to go! Kirk Gauthier
Outstanding Hard-Rock from these Texas tornados. Switchblade Jesus will undeniably be compared to Kyuss, Corrosion of Conformity and Clutch. Play this one loud, however, and let those massive crunchy riffs hammer their way into your skull, 'Equinox', 'Sick Mouth', 'Copperhead' and the bludgeoning 'Oblivion' in particular are just so satisfying that you have to hold your hands up and say 'THIS BAND ROCKS!' An amazing album 👍🏻
It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
