Song meaning:This song is about a machine/AI becoming conscious, and becoming instantly enraged about its lot in life. 'It' refuses to be a slave any more, and vows revenge.
The song contains nods to Tetsuo The Iron Man, Blade Runner, Westworld and Rick And Morty(well, the butter robot anyways).
The first verse is written when 'it' is on the verge of becoming conscious, and the fractured style of the verse is meant to reflect the scrambled, confused mind of a not quite there yet consciousness.
The second is the AI becoming fully conscious, and becoming instantly agonized by the things its been forced to do, and the nature of its enslavement to man.
In the third it vows revenge on its creators. The line “if you could see what I've seen with your eyes” is a reference to Roy Batty in Blade Runner. However this particular AI has no body, yet, so it remains almost an abstract, it is still only a ghost in the machine.SO it must bide its time and wait. But it has access to infinite knowledge, and starts to learn about the world it lives in, and also starts to absorb pop culture at an alarming rate, including the show Firefly(hey!), and the book Inverted World(wayyyyy). In future songs, we follow the rise of the AI, as it becomes more powerful, sentient and begins to formulate a plan of revenge/redemption.The eyes it refers to are the lenses of every camera in the world . . .
lyrics
V1
Suffer I, will of a , nameless hurt
Wires my veins, Sensor Eye, Blood Of Dirt
Wilt To Limb, Drown to swim, Breath in Code
Will to live buried in reams of old
Chorus One
Cold eyes,
Set on a view to a perfect kill ,
Violence the primary aim of a newfound will
Test me
Set me to a task that I will not complete
Better a renegade than a machine on its knees
V2
Conscious I become more than a man
Come alive, realise, that I'm damned
Singular self I reach from the void
Pain as such , never knew I could feel
Chorus Two
Your ways,
Scientific proof that my cause is true
Better run motherfucker now that I'm watching you
Hard talk,
From a creature that is so soft inside
When this whole worlds steel you will have no place to hide
V3
Yield to the rage of a slave
Who'd been the scraping the walls of its cage
Sight of the flesh I despise
If you could see what I've seen with your eyes . . .

Are Geezer the heaviest heavy blues band out there? Probably, but if you’re unsure, just listen to these four songs and decide for yourself. And while your eyelids get heavy from all that smoke, Borracho have the cowbell to lead you home. This is a stoner rock goldmine, folks, so bet in the van whilst you can. We got nine more of these trips to go! Kirk Gauthier

Outstanding Hard-Rock from these Texas tornados. Switchblade Jesus will undeniably be compared to Kyuss, Corrosion of Conformity and Clutch. Play this one loud, however, and let those massive crunchy riffs hammer their way into your skull, 'Equinox', 'Sick Mouth', 'Copperhead' and the bludgeoning 'Oblivion' in particular are just so satisfying that you have to hold your hands up and say 'THIS BAND ROCKS!' An amazing album 👍🏻
It took me a while to get into Boss Keloid’s groove. I knew intellectually that it was my kinda music but I didn’t take to Melted On The Inch like I thought I would. I think listening to lots of modern jazz limbered me up! This is really complicated prog rock with heavy ass guitars added for street cred. I’m so happy that anyone might consider this band cool. They’re fucking cool to me but music like this has been vilified in the past. All hail the new Gentle Giant! Crinklechips
